so this story resonates on many levels.

first it is a fundamental reminder that even though technology can do a lot of things we used to need others for (sharing ideas, entertainment, distraction, education, etc) we depend on the success of others to succeed, at least emotionally.

the more despondent we are, the easier it is to become critical and tear others down. you show how to flip that coin.

second this story seems to epitomize your work here on medium and throughout your career -- of wanting to share and help others be more aware of who they are at work and given them very concrete tools (check out the humanizing digital work page on LinkedIn for example) to be more sucessful. in doing so you have a hand in some many other lives.
