super interesting comment -- to me capitalism literally capitalizes on our peasure seeking tendencies ... a lot of social media, ueber eats, dating apps, etc.... so i dont see them as opposites like that. need to think about this a bit more.

what i regret most is when i feel that people are not able to take pride in doing our part at work or doing a good job because it is not good enough or we should be entitled to more. work is central to how we have constructed our identities and also ability to impact others. .
